What this is telling you
Sessions eased back again this month, down 11.4% on May and now essentially flat year on year (-0.7%), the softest YoY comparison of the year so far after four straight months of solid growth. Both venues' app clicks continued falling, but gift cards had a genuinely strong month, revenue up 67.4% and orders more than doubling. Organic Search remains the main drag on sessions, covered in Section 2, though a new "AI Assistant" channel has appeared in GA4's classification this month, also covered there.
2. Traffic by Channel

What this is telling you
Organic Search fell further this month, down 25.3% on May and 35.1% on June last year, now three consecutive months of YoY decline. Paid Search held almost perfectly flat month on month and remains up sharply year on year, it's doing more of the heavy lifting now than it was earlier in the year. The new AI Assistant channel (109 sessions, almost entirely ChatGPT) is exactly the source flagged as one to watch back in April, it's now large enough to report on its own rather than sitting inside Referral.

What this is telling you
linktr.ee is now a consistent presence for the second month running, 40 sessions this month vs 56 in May, and still engages very well (87.5%). With AI referral traffic reclassified into its own channel this month, the Referral channel itself is smaller and cleaner, mostly bio links, partner sites, and email platforms now.

What this is telling you
Gift Cards moved up to the fourth-largest landing page this month, ahead of every service page bar the three main navigation pages. Food & Drink Menu's average engagement time of over 21 minutes is a clear outlier, likely a small number of sessions left open in a background tab rather than genuine reading time, worth treating that particular figure with caution.

What this is telling you
Average position hit its best point of the year so far, 5.2, continuing the steady improvement seen every month since January. But clicks and impressions both fell hard again, impressions down 56.4% year on year, now three months running of shrinking visibility even as rankings improve. This combination, better position but far fewer impressions, points to Google surfacing the site for a narrower set of searches rather than a ranking problem, worth a proper technical SEO review to understand which queries have dropped out.

Branded clicks made up 24.4% of all clicks this month (1,954 of 8,014), down from 32.4% in May and the lowest share so far this year. Both branded and non-branded clicks fell, but branded fell harder, down 44.2% on May against non-branded's 17.0% drop, worth keeping an eye on whether brand-name search interest is genuinely cooling or whether this is a reporting quirk from the domain split flagged below.

What this is telling you
Homepage clicks fell again, from 7,708 to 5,825, now down for three consecutive months and less than half where they stood in March. Every major page fell this month, this looks like a broad visibility issue rather than one page losing ground. The domain split between padium.com and www.padium.com is still unresolved and worth prioritising, it may be contributing to the impression decline.
5. Core Services Performance

What this is telling you
Gift Cards had an excellent month, sessions up 58.1% on May and more than double June last year, clearly the standout service this month. On Court bounced back on May but is still running well below last June. Corporate Events eased back on May but remains slightly ahead of last year. Both venue pages are included here for a full service-level view; full venue detail is in Section 6.
6. Venue Performance
Note: Canary Wharf and Cardiff still don't exist as separate landing page URLs in the site's June 2025 data, so no YoY comparison is available for either venue this month either.

Organic Search grew both in volume (90 to 118) and stayed the dominant channel at 60% of sessions. Direct more than tripled (10 to 35), and five sessions came via the new AI Assistant channel, small in absolute terms but a sign this discovery path extends to product pages, not just the homepage.

This was the strongest month of the year for gift cards on every measure except average order value. Orders more than doubled on May and nearly tripled June last year, revenue is up similarly, and conversion rate climbed to 11.7%, its highest point since April. Average order value fell as more, smaller purchases came through, mobile in particular drove volume (19 of 23 orders) at a lower average value than desktop.

9. Booking Conversion Clicks
Outbound clicks to each venue's booking app. June 2025 sat mid-transition between the two booking platforms, both playtomic.io (5,670 clicks) and the new padelmates.se (3,792 clicks) were active that month, with no equivalent Cardiff link yet live. Because of this overlap, no reliable venue-level YoY comparison is possible for June.

What this is telling you
Both venues fell again this month, Cardiff harder than Canary Wharf in percentage terms (-24.0% vs -18.1%), the same direction as May but slightly less severe for Canary Wharf. Paid Search is now the single largest driver of Cardiff booking clicks (1,004 homepage plus 810 Cardiff-page clicks), overtaking Organic Search for the first time this year, consistent with organic traffic softening across the board this month.
10. Insights & Key Takeaways
Growth Insights
Gift cards had their best month of the year by a clear margin, orders up 155.6% on May and 187.5% on June last year, revenue up 67.4% and 122.0% respectively, and conversion rate at its highest point since April.
Average search position hit 5.2 this month, the best of the year and an improvement every single month since January. Whatever's happening with impressions, the site's actual ranking strength keeps getting better.
Paid Search held almost perfectly flat month on month despite Organic Search falling hard, and is now the single biggest driver of Cardiff's booking clicks. It's proving to be the most resilient channel this year.
Opportunities
The new AI Assistant channel (109 sessions, almost all ChatGPT) is now large enough to track in its own right. Worth considering whether site content is well-structured for AI answer engines, this could be a growing acquisition path.
linktr.ee has now delivered a solid referral count two months running. Worth confirming which bio link this is and whether it can be promoted further or replicated elsewhere.
The domain split between padium.com and www.padium.com has now been flagged for three consecutive months while impressions keep falling. This is worth prioritising properly rather than continuing to note it.
Watch Points
Organic Search has now fallen year on year for three months running, and the decline is accelerating, -23.2% in May, -35.1% in June. This is the clearest trend in the data this year and deserves a proper technical SEO investigation rather than continued monthly monitoring.
Search Console impressions are down 56.4% year on year, the worst of the year so far, even as average position keeps improving. The site is ranking better for a shrinking pool of searches, worth understanding whether search demand itself has fallen or visibility has narrowed.
Returning users fell year on year for the first time in 2026 (-9.4%). Combined with the Organic Search decline, this is worth watching for a link, returning visitors often arrive via branded or direct search.
11. Year to Date (Jan – Jun 2026)
These charts will accumulate through the year, adding a new data point each month, and reset every January.
Graph 1 — Sessions & Total Users
GA4, all channels combined
Standout June is now the lowest month of the year for both sessions and users, continuing the steady decline from March's peak. Four consecutive months of falling sessions since March.
Graph 2 — Venue Page Sessions: Canary Wharf vs Cardiff
GA4 landing page sessions
Standout Both venues have now fallen for three straight months since March. Cardiff's lead over Canary Wharf has narrowed steadily each month, from roughly 12:1 in April to roughly 9:1 in June.
Graph 3 — Traffic by Channel
GA4 sessions by channel
Standout Organic Search has fallen every month since March and is now at its lowest point of the year, while Paid Search has held remarkably steady since April. A new AI Assistant channel appears for the first time in June, small so far but worth watching as its own line going forward.
Graph 4 — Branded vs Non-Branded Search Queries
Google Search Console, clicks
Standout Both lines have fallen for three consecutive months since March, but branded has fallen faster, June is the first month this year where branded clicks make up less than a quarter of the total.
Graph 5 — Gift Card Page Traffic & Order Revenue
Traffic to gift card page (bars, left axis) vs order revenue (line, right axis). Order count labelled above each point.
Standout June stands out clearly, both page traffic and revenue hit their highest points of the year together, the first month where the two have risen in step rather than moving independently.
